The house's shell was fabricated by Jamaica Cottage Shop in 2019 and features an eastern white pine, board and batten exterior with a covered porch perfect for morning coffee and taking in the natural surroundings. Inside it is thoughtfully designed to maximize space and comfort. Complete with a heater that runs off bottled propane and a small wood burning chimenea. There is a galley kitchenette with a microwave and sink. There is no well or running water. The bathroom has a composting toilet, shower that runs off of jugs, along with a portable steamer so you are not missing any comforts! A loft bed maximizes vertical space, offering a snug retreat accessible via a sturdy ladder. The efficient layout includes a lofted area over the bathroom and utility closet with ample storage, keeping the living area uncluttered. The house is equipped with electricity and features a composting toilet, making it ideal for those embracing an off-grid lifestyle. However, there is no plumbing, so water can be sourced from the river or town, with space available for rainwater collection.
